My journey in movement and human performance began at age 10, when I discovered basketball. Sport became my first teacher—shaping my confidence, discipline, and identity. A dedicated mentor guided me early on, inspiring me to pursue physical education with purpose and passion.
I graduated from LNIPE, where I explored training principles, sports science concepts, and effective teaching methodologies. During my internship as an assistant coach with the Indian Army, I learned how athletes grow through structure, consistency, and mindset—lessons that continue to shape my work today.
My professional path has taken me across Thailand, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. In Thailand, my early years as a PE educator taught me the importance of building confidence and self-belief in students. I encouraged learners to set goals, design fitness routines, and take ownership of their progress—an approach that strengthened their leadership and resilience.
Working with elementary students in Korea expanded my understanding of inquiry-based learning and the power of collaboration. I developed PE units that integrated movement, reflection, wellbeing, and student agency, while working closely with teachers and families to support each child holistically.
Later, in Saudi Arabia, I stepped into the combined role of Middle and High School PE teacher and Athletic Director. This experience deepened my leadership skills as I coordinated sports programs, collaborated with coaches, and created environments where students could grow through competitive and recreational sports. It taught me how athletics can unite a community and shape character in profound ways.
Across all these experiences, my philosophy has remained consistent:
Movement is a powerful medium for learning. Through sport, students discover confidence, emotional balance, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of identity.
I continue to expand my understanding of PE and wellbeing through ongoing professional development, sports science study, and my passion for helping young people become strong—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
On a personal note, I am fortunate to share my life with my wife, Priyanka Singh—also an educator and former national-level basketball player—and our two wonderful children. Our family’s connection to sport inspires my commitment to helping every learner find joy, purpose, and possibility through movement.
